Clock divider & multiplier, x8 to /128
Simply CLOCK SCALER is a 4HP Eurorack clock divider and multiplier. Feed it one clock and get two independent clocks back – each output can divide the tempo down to /128 or multiply it up to x8. Every change happens live, with one button press, and both outputs always stay locked to the same beat. Made for live playing and generative patches: polyrhythms (/3 against /4, /5 against /7), slow Berlin School changes (/32, /64, /128) and fast subdivisions for hi-hats and arpeggiators (x2…x8).
Features
- Two independent outputs, 20 ratios each: x8, x7, x6, x5, x4, x3, x2, /1, /2, /3, /4, /5, /6, /7, /8, /12, /16, /32, /64, /128
- Real-time control: UP and DOWN button for each output – no menu diving while you play
- Outputs always in sync: divisions count from a shared beat 1, multiplications re-sync on every input beat
- 50% gate outputs – work as gates and as triggers
- STOP/RST IN jack: START/STOP (default) or RESET mode – every start begins on beat 1
- OLED display: both ratios, input tempo in BPM (4-beat average) and blinking output indicators
- Three CLOCK IN sensitivity settings – from very short pulses up to 1 kHz, to noisy sources
- CAL setting to trim the BPM reading to your master clock (±3%)
- Settings menu: press both DOWN buttons together (CLK sensitivity, RST mode, CAL, ABOUT)
- All settings are remembered after power-off
